Potato Head Beach Club is a far cry from the simple, homely beach club you might imagine, we are proud to have been recognised by Condé Nast Traveller as one of the best holiday destinations in the world and acknowledged as a true institution in Bali. Our beautiful site is located in Seminyak, Bali’s premier destination and was designed by the acclaimed Indonesian architect Andra Matin.

As you arrive you will be greeted by the magisterial sight of our ‘Colosseum’, a towering elliptical façade of mismatched 18th century teak window shutters collected from across the Indonesian archipelago. As you journey further within you will discover the Beach Club’s 500-square meter lawn, two bars, two restaurants and the infinity pool with views to the sparkling Indian Ocean beyond.

We are open from 11am every day and we welcome all.
Families, sun-worshippers, drinkers and diners throughout the day and evening, those joining us to view the legendary Bali sunset and a party crowd until the early hours are all invited to enjoy our warm hospitality and great service.

With something for everyone, our guests are able to choose between two restaurants, each with their own distinct visual and culinary style. Well known throughout the island for the diverse offering of our different restaurants our large team of international and Balinese chefs are committed to serving the finest produce. Our ingredients are organic and local where possible or the highest quality of imported products if necessary to complete our varied and innovative menus. Whether it's a casual and delicious lunch of classic

comfort food by the pool, some of Indonesia’s most-loved recipes or an elegant and creative contemporary dish, Potato Head Beach Club’s restaurants will fit your every mood. Authentic Indonesian cuisine can be found at Lilin where the vibrant colours and flavours of recipes gathered from across the vast Indonesian archipelago are matched only by the uniquely designed al fresco space. Long wooden communal tables are the setting for Lilin’s innovative menu inspired by the traditional home and street cooked food of Indonesia.

The cocktails served at Potato Head Beach Club’s two bars as well as the restaurants and daybeds have been created by our world-renowned mixologist Dre Masso. Inspired by the venue’s ocean-side tropical location Dre’s cocktail lists make great use of Bali’s incredible fruit, spices and herbs.

When creating the cocktail menu we travelled the island searching for the true flavours of Bali. We wanted to understand the island and create something that really showcased the fresh, vibrant side of Bali. Food played an enormous part in this journey and the local spices used in traditional Balinese cooking encouraged
Dre to experiment with unusual flavours and textures and also create our own homemade ingredients such as infused spirits, syrups and foams.

As with our restaurants, only the finest and highest quality ingredients are used in our cocktails as well as premium grade imported spirits. A large selection of non-alcoholic cocktails and child-friendly drinks are also available as well as a selection of cellared well-priced wines and champagnes.

Opening directly next door to Potato Head Beach Club in early 2016, The Katamama Hotel will be our all-suite boutique hotel.
Like the Beach Club, The Katamama Hotel has been designed by renowned Indonesian architect Andra Matin. Warm and inviting, yet steadfastly elegant, contemporary and sophisticated, the interiors of the hotel will be finished with Indonesian materials such as Balinese bricks, teak, hand-made tiles from Java and terrazzo. Each of the suites will be filled with curated artwork, handpicked furniture and cherished collectibles, many of them originally part of the owners’ personal collections and all will enjoy plentiful outdoor space with antique freestanding baths or plunge pools.

Our determination is that our first hotel will be ideal for travellers seeking not only a haven of tranquility and beauty in Bali, but a refuge with direct access to Potato Head Beach Club. Dining will be courtesy of Movida, one of Australia’s most well respected and fashionable restaurant brands. Just as at Potato Head Beach Club, the service at The Katamama will be familial, free of formality and warm while remaining of the absolute highest calibre demanded by today’s experienced international traveller.
