Tune in our Tropical Sounds via Spotify

Great music goes hand in hand with good times at Potato Head. And thanks to our just-launched Spotify account, Potatoheadmusic, you can now channel our soulful, tropical spirit wherever you are.

Afrobeat, eclectic house, under-the-radar indie, jazz, folk, rare disco — our resident DJs love introducing you to interesting new music. Laidback, sunset-centric sounds, courtesy of Potato Head Beach Club’s flagship club night Sun Down Circle, are the focus of the playlist of the same name, while pre-event teasers of this year’s Sunny Side Up Tropical Festival are at your musical disposal via our festival soundtrack.

Original playlists for Potato Head Hong Kong, Jakarta, Bali and Singapore as well as music inspired by our restaurants Attarine, and Kaum are all there for you to plug into. Echoing our eclectic and characterful venues, each compilation has its own style, meaning that most will discover something musically memorable. Turn up the volume for Mr Scruff, Rodriguez, Grace Jones, José Padilla and The Velvet Underground as well as obscure recordings past and present.

The people behind these sonic selections are Johnny Hiller (Hong Kong), Dea Barandana (Bali), Dipha Barus (Jakarta) and Ulysses James (Singapore)— music directors of the Potato Head Family and successful musicians in their own right. They’ll regularly be refreshing our lists to keep them unpredictable and—we hope—exactly how you like it.
